Location and Structure

Jumeirah Mosque is located in the beachside area of Dubai and was built in 1978 giving a medieval Fatimid style of architecture. The structure is made up of beautiful white stone with soaring minarets surrounding the huge dome in the center. The seashell look and color ideally go hand in hand with the position of the mosque which stands just on opposite the white sands of the Jumeirah beach.

The experience to visit the mosque is an elegant one delivering the informative as well as spiritual contentment.

There are certain rules to be followed while entering the mosque:

· A non-Muslim should only enter if he is accompanied by a registered guide

· A conservative dress is essential for not only women but also the men

· Books displayed in the mosques are not to be touched

· Children under 5 years of age are not permitted

· Cameras can be carried to take photographs

There is also an open session of discussion, question and the answers allowing the guests to ask anything fearlessly relating to Islam so that one can understand the Islamic concept more closely.
